Dakro Air & Water is seeking a proactive, commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our Water Treatment and Water Hygiene division. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with strong technical understanding of water management services and the ability to develop and maintain long-lasting client relationships across commercial, industrial, healthcare and public-sector environments.

You will play a key part in identifying new opportunities, shaping high-quality proposals, and working closely with technical teams to deliver compliant and effective solutions for clients nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Sales
Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities within the Water Treatment and Water Hygiene markets.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders and presentations tailored to client needs.
Conduct ongoing market research to track trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders including facilities managers, engineering teams and procurement professionals.
Lead client meetings, site surveys and technical discussions to fully understand requirements.
Provide ongoing support to existing clients to maximise retention and generate upselling opportunities.
Technical & Compliance
Work collaboratively with technical and operational teams to design and propose effective solutions.
Maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including ACoP L8, HSG 274 and BS 8580.
Ensure all proposed solutions meet regulatory and internal quality standards.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work alongside operations, marketing and technical specialists to support project delivery and solution development.
Produce regular reports covering sales activity, pipeline status, forecasting and market insights.
Represent Dakro at industry events, exhibitions and networking forums.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven track record in business development or technical sales within Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, Environmental Services or similar fields.
Strong understanding of Legionella control, water treatment processes and compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into client-focused solutions.
Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree or technical qualification in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline (desirable).
Industry certifications such as City & Guilds Legionella Control or Water Treatment training.
