Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV’s)

  • To reduce the risk of legionella occurring it is important to keep hot water over 50(°c)

  • However at that temperature it may scald.

  • So we recommend the use of TMV’s where vunerable people are present as they regulate the temperature of the water coming out of your taps, showers or any other outlets.

  • TMV’s are also very useful for regulating the flow and pressure of the water in your systems.

  • These valves can be set to exactly the temperature you require which is generally 37-42°C.

  • TMV’ s have many safety features including preventing hot water through even when there is an interruption to the cold water supply.

  • Young children and the elderly are particularly at risk from scalding water so it is important to ask Dakro how we can install and set TMV’s in your workplace, business or home.
