Hadleigh Works – Investing in Safer Air

Updated: Sep 12, 2022

As we move out of the pandemic, back into our “new normal” ways of working, one of the most popular and emerging trends is to take residency in a co-working space.

To be surrounded by like-minds and have that level of flexibility and physical engagement that is hard to achieve with either working entirely from home or from a fixed office space. Analysts predict the number of people working in co-working spaces worldwide will increase 158% to five million people by 2024.

There is still naturally a fear factor and of course a risk factor of sharing time and space with other people in indoor settings. 80% of virus transmission is airborne, so it’s crucial measures are taken to help create safer working environments but also help make people feel safer too.

UVC disinfection technology can help purify the air that we share and inactivate 99.9% of bacteria and viruses in just minutes. UVC light has been proven to inactivate all known microorganisms and works as an in-room, long-term disinfection solution.

Hadleigh Works, a brand-new co-working space from Oswestry, Shropshire put the health and wellbeing of their users at the top of their priority list. They have recently invested in UVC technology, through Dakro Environmental, to help ensure that their co-working space is one of the safest places to work in the area.

Tom Field, Head of UVC of Dakro Environmental says “It’s brilliant to see Hadleigh Works using this technology to add another layer of protection to their co-working space. People seem to repeatedly visit the places that they feel the most comfortable in and we hope this is the case with Hadleigh works”

The disinfection units Hadleigh Works have invested in are Philips UVC Portable units, so they can move them around their facilities to wherever they have occupancy or events.

Vernon Hogg, Director of Hadleigh Works is thrilled with the initial response by noting “With more people than ever working from home, people are craving the social interaction and community that you get from an office. At Hadleigh Works residents can get this, but we want to make sure that our space is as safe as possible for all our users. This is a why the air disinfection technology from Dakro was an easy decision for us. The team have made everything so easy and the system runs in the background without causing any distraction to residents.”

Hadleigh Works are leading the way in terms of helping to reduce airborne infections in shared working spaces and using sustainable disinfection technology to do so.
